QuikPlat DEED
PLOTTING FEATURES
QuikPlat Deed Plotting features facilitate, among other things, (1)
drawing property boundaries to scale, (2) correction of data entry errors,
(3) analysis necessary to
overcome discrepancies and omissions in Deed descriptions, (4) revelation of
voids and overlaps between adjacent property boundaries, (5) determination of
closure error and the area contained within a property boundary on closure, and
(6) flexible presentation of scaled drawings.
BOUNDARY DRAWING AND
ANALYTICAL FEATURES

A drawing of the property
boundary being entered appears on the screen and is updated as each deed
call is entered. |

The user can modify the
parameters of any call and see the results immediately. |

The user can switch between
entering deed call bearings in quadrant (degrees, minutes, seconds) mode,
in azimuth (degrees, minutes, seconds) mode or in azimuth (decimal
degrees) mode at any time. |

Drawings of adjoining
property can be merged into
the display, enabling the user to see the degree of fit.. |

The user can delete any line
in the call sequence
and see the result immediately. |

The user can insert a line
any place in the sequence and see the result immediately. |

The user can reverse the
direction of any line in the sequence and see the result immediately. |

The user can generate a
closure report consisting of the closure error, the property perimeter,
and the enclosed area (upon closure). |

The user can
easily measure the
distance between any two points in the drawing. |

The user can magnify the
display on the screen at any time. |
PRESENTATION AND PRINTING
FEATURES

Graphics and text can be
placed either on the “paper” section or on the “site” section of
the drawing. The
location of objects placed on the “paper” are not disturbed by either
changes in drawing scale or changes in the location of the “frame”
where the elements of the “site” drawing appear.
The most common elements placed on the “paper” are titles, the
date of the drawing , and a North arrow.
Boundary graphics are automatically placed to the “site”
portion of the drawing. |

The region of the paper upon
which the elements of the “site” drawing
are to be placed can be controlled by the user. |

Any true type font (in any
size, bold, non-bold, or
italic) supported by Windows can be added to the drawing and then later
moved and rotated as desired by the user. |

A North arrow and a scale
bar can be added to the “paper” portion of the drawing and positioned
as desired. |

QuikPlat LITE is compatible
with any Windows supported printer or plotter.
QuikPlat LITE can handle paper sizes up to 44 inches in length. |
